Fukuoka Mayor Calls for Caution Over Halloween Gatherings

The mayor of Fukuoka City, Soichiro Takashima, asked residents to wear masks at local Halloween events and try to avoid joining large crowds. According to the city, some ten thousand people are expected to visit Kego Park in Tenjin on Oct. 31 to celebrate Halloween in costume. While the city doesn’t plan to request self-restraint on attending the seasonal event, it prepares to manage congestion in collaboration with local police. Fukuoka Halloween Guide Source: NHK
