Fukuoka Prefecture Offers ¥50,000 To Compliant Local Eateries

Fukuoka Prefecture will subsidize ¥50,000 to local eateries that cooperate to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Shops with COVID-19 safety stickers (issued by Fukuoka Prefecture) will receive the payment to cover the cost of purchasing masks and sanitizers. Also, the prefecture decided to lift the “two-hour time limit” requests for those who eat out or drink with others as of Aug. 22. Business closure requests for restaurants and bars with insufficient prevention measures would also be lifted. Meanwhile, other parts of the ‘Fukuoka Corona Warning’ will continue to be in issue, reflecting the high occupancy rate of local hospital beds.  Source: NHK / Mainichi
