Fukuoka Prefecture Records Over 100 COVID-19 Cases in Single Day

On July 29, Fukuoka Prefecture announced 101 additional cases of the novel coronavirus infection, topping 100 in a single day for the first time. Seventy-five of the new patients were found in Fukuoka City, including at least six persons linked to a nightclub cluster. The cumulative total for Fukuoka Prefecture is now 1,636. On Jul. 28, the prefecture reported the first infection involving a police officer.
