Fukuoka Prefecture To Designate Priority Medical Facilities

Fukuoka Prefecture is bracing for the next corona-infection spike by designating ‘priority medical facilities.’ The government recently reviewed its handling of the virus spread between January to July 2020 and 270 beds. The prefecture estimates the number of hospitalized patients might reach 753 at the next peak, including 108 in critical care. It is also considering reinforcing staffing of local health centers and outsourcing some tasks to handle the situations more effectively. Source: Sankei / NHK
