Fukuoka Prefecture will establish in the fall of 2011 a center assisting people 70 years old and older to find and maintain employment. The center will match skilled elderly workers with companies looking for workers with those skills, conducting seminars to develop the work skills of those people willing to work or start their own businesses, and providing financial subsidies to companies who will continue to employ workers older than 60 and younger than 70. They also will apply to the national government to establish a system of preferential tax treatment of companies that hire many aged workers.
