Forever 21 Inc. announced on Sep. 25 that it will shut down its business in Japan. Fourteen shops including one in Fukuoka will close at the end of October as well as its online shop. The Fukuoka shop opened in 2012 on Nishi-dori Ave. in Tenjin as the first boutique of Forever 21 outside the metropolitan area of Tokyo and has been popular with locals and tourists.
