The organizing group of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa held a general meeting on Feb. 28, in which they proposed a plan to proceed with this year’s summer festival. Guidelines will be fixed by April, including a requirement for over-7,000 participants to take PCR screenings and include a recommendation for vaccinations for all senior participants. The festival will welcome audiences from inside Fukuoka Prefecture, while it will ask for self-restraints on visiting from other areas. Source: Mainichi / KBC
