Sasebo resort Huis ten Bosch revealed plans to create a new passenger ship service between Shanghai and Nagasaki this summer. They established a company in Panama last month to operate the ships, and have begun discussions with several European ship companies. They plan to purchase used ships with a capacity of 1,500 to 1,700 passengers, and operate them three times a week with one-way fares at 7,000 to 8,000 yen.
