Chikaranomoto Company of Fukuoka City, operators of the Hakata Ippudo ramen chain, have signed an agreement with the city of Taketa, Oita Prefecture, to go into the agriculture business. In addition to growing the crops that will be used as food ingredients in their shops, the company plans to operate tourist farms. It is their first agricultural venture.
