J-Com Fukuoka and J-Com Kitakyushu, subsidiaries of the cable TV company Jupiter Telecommunications, announced they will merge as of January 1 next year. With competition expected to intensify among telecom companies due other entrants in the sector, the move will generate cost savings and allow increases in sales personnel. The two companies combined offer 12 services, including cable television, Internet access, and individual telephone services.
