NCB Research & Consulting tied up with a temporary employment agency World Intec Co., Ltd. and held a job fair for foreign students for the first time on Aug. 3. Fourteen companies participated. “There are many foreign students who want to work for Japanese companies but they are not making themselves open enough” said Koga Kyosuke, President of NCB Research & Consulting. More and more small and medium-sized enterprises are showing interest in hiring foreigners, however, many are still worried about communications and having newly hired staff quit soon after being hired. As the subsidiary of Nishinihon City Bank, NCB expects local companies to continue to expand business overseas and increasing demands for capital. “We want the local companies to hire talented foreign students and expand business actively”, Mr. Koga emphasized. Due to the postive response, a similar event may be held early next year. Source: Nishinihon Shinbun 8/16 URL: http://qkeizai.nishinippon.co.jp/infonet/item/89992
