JR Kyushu and Nishi-Nippon Railway (Nishitetsu) have jointly developed a condominium project in Kumamoto City and plan to begin sales of the units in September. It will be the first such enterprise for either company in Kumamoto apart from their core business, and they hope the impact of the combination of their names will appeal to consumers. The condominium will be 15 stories high and have 151 units. Construction will begin later this month, and completion is slated for February 2013.
