JR Kyushu announced plans to build a seven-story office building in front of Higo-Ōzu Station in Ōzu Town, Kumamoto. Scheduled for completion in January 2027, the project targets semiconductor-related companies near TSMC’s first Kumamoto plant. The facility will feature 9,200 square meters of floor space, backup power for 72 hours, and modern office amenities.
