Korean Air Lines of South Korea announced it will add another daily round-trip flight between Fukuoka City and Busan, South Korea, starting September 1. It already operates one daily round-trip. The backdrop to the addition is the growing talk of a supra-national economic zone being created in the region. The additional flight will enhance the ability of businesspeople in Fukuoka to travel to Busan for the day and return at night. The route is frequently used by Japanese business interests in Kyushu related to the auto parts and steel industries.
