Kitakyushu Clears Second Wave – Eight New COVID-19 Cases in Eight Days for Fukuoka Prefecture

In the period between June 22 ~ 29, Fukuoka Prefecture announced eight new cases of the new coronavirus infection. Within the eight days, no new cases were found on 6/22, 26, and 28. The cumulative total of infections for the prefecture is now 846. The mayor of Kitakyushu City Kenji Kitahashi held a press conference on June 29 to announce that the city’s second wave of the virus infection has subdued.
