Kitakyushu Mayor Kenji Kitahashi will visit China for four days starting on the 31st. One of the objectives of his visit will be to sign an exchange agreement with the China Beijing Environment Exchange, which handles rights transactions for environmentally related businesses in China. He also intends to promote the Kitakyushu Asian Center for a Low Carbon Society, which was established last year. The mayor was scheduled to go to China in March, but the trip was cancelled due to the Tohoku earthquake.
