The Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art main building reopened to the public on Nov. 3. The museum’s main block was designed by Arata Isozaki and was constructed in 1974. The refurbishment, which was carried out to fix the aging building, cost approximately ¥1.65 billion. Due to the renovation, managing the temperature and humidity inside the main hall is now easier. It will also be easier for the venue to host large-scale nationwide exhibitions. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 10/12/2017
