The Hallo Day supermarkets of Kitakyushu have launched a trial in which they will award coupons for store product purchases in exchange for old paper and empty cans that can be recycled. Points will be awarded to customers for the recyclable waste based on the weight of the material provided. According to parent company Nishihara Shoji, this is the first trial of its type conducted by a Kyushu supermarket.
