The Kyushu Local Finance Bureau released its report on the business results of companies in Kyushu for the April-June quarter. These results showed an aggregate current profit of 26.4 billion yen, a swing back to profitability after the 8.1 billion yen loss of the January-March quarter. Particularly noteworthy were the profits earned by the manufacturing industry, which benefited from a recovery in exports.
