The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry sponsored a trade fair from the 11th to the 13th for companies wishing to enhance their presence in that region of South Korea, and 18 companies from Kyushu participated for the first time. Most were from Fukuoka Prefecture, but there were also representatives from Saga and Kumamoto prefectures. The fair was started in 2001, but has had participation from Korean companies only. This year, however, Japanese and Chinese companies were invited.
