The Kyushu Bar Federation condemned misconduct by a former Saga police forensic employee who falsified DNA test results in about 130 cases over seven years. The federation said the acts undermined criminal justice and called for an independent third-party investigation to assess the impact on trials and determine why the misconduct went undetected. It also urged checks at other investigative bodies to ensure similar problems have not occurred. Source: Kyushu Federation of Bar Associations
