China’s state-run broadcaster CCTV plans to start filming in different Kyushu locations for a remake of The Psychotic Woman, a popular drama in Japan and South Korea, for nationwide broadcast in China next August. Filming locations include Huis ten Bosch in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture; Hita, Oita Prefecture; and the Tenjin district in Fukuoka City. This is fueling hopes for a surge in Chinese tourism to Kyushu, similar to the increase in tourism from that country to Hokkaido due to a Chinese movie filmed there.
