The customs office at the Port of Moji in Yamaguchi Prefecture released statistics for exports and imports in the Kyushu region (including Yamaguchi and Okinawa Prefectures) for June that show auto exports rose 2.6% year-on-year to a value of 149.8 billion yen. That represents a recovery to levels before the Tohoku earthquake. In addition, the value of all exports rose 4.8% year-on-year to 644.3 billion yen, the first increase in three months.
