The Kyushu Tourism Promotion Association announced that a Shanghai publisher of free newspapers started publishing in May a monthly magazine in China focusing on Kyushu. The magazine is being published with the support of the Kyushu body, which is interested in counteracting the abrupt decline in tourism from China due to the Tohoku earthquake and nuclear accident. They plan to publish four issues by next February with 50,000 copies of each issue.
