Kyushu University Starts Disaster Prevention Class

A new class for freshmen at Kyushu University has been set up to help learn about disasters, earthquake mechanics, prevention and victim support. A total of 15 researchers across disciplines will be in charge of the class with 16 lectures currently being planned between April and July. The class was created as a response to requests made by students last April and had been under deliberations between about 30 professors and teaching staff since then. Source: NHK-TV, 4/10
