Kyushu University revealed it will establish the Advanced Particle Physics Research Center in October as a new center for research in the field. Their intention is to have the facility become an international center for research and education in the field. Plans call for site personnel to participate in Large Hadron Collider research. There will be an experimental division for the operation of measuring equipment and the collection and analysis of data.
