The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport released its appraisals of land values as of January 1st, which show that land values near the new train stations in the primary cities along the Kyushu Shinkansen route have started to recover from a bottom. Of the eight areas in Kyushu where land valuations rose, three were near the Fukuoka City, Kumamoto City, and Kagoshima City stations. The construction of the stations has sparked redevelopment projects in the same districts of those three cities.
