A 61-year-old man arrested over a stabbing at the Fukuoka City Public Library in Sawara Ward had reportedly visited the facility about 30 minutes before the attack. Police said Tatsuo Yoshii was apprehended at the scene on February 19 on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly slashing a 50-year-old woman in the neck. Two men were also attacked and sustained injuries of varying severity. Investigators said Yoshii entered the library, walked around the building, and stayed in a restroom for seven to eight minutes before carrying out the assault. He admitted to the allegations and told police he did not know the three victims. Authorities are investigating a possible random motive. Source: KBC News / TNC News
