The plot of TV Nishinippon’s 55th anniversary drama has been revealed! The drama “Mentai Piriri” stars Fukuokan comedian Hakata Hanamaru and actress Yasuko Tomit and tells the story of Fukuoka’s popular mentai shop “Fukuya”. The drama revolves mainly around the Umino family (based on Fukuya’s founder Kawahara Toshio), set around 1949~ when Fukuya was first established. TV Nishinippon airs the first part of Mentai Piriri (a prologue) on 8/3 (Sat.) at 12:00, followed by 16 episodes airing daily on weekdays from Monday 8/5 (Mon.).
