Miyama City Signs Agreements for Pet Rescue and Disaster Search Dogs

Miyama City has signed agreements with relevant organizations to ensure prompt pet rescue by veterinarians and the use of disaster search dogs in emergencies. At a ceremony on June 6, Mayor Morito Matsushima and representatives from the Fukuoka Veterinary Medical Association and the Japan Rescue Association signed the agreements. The veterinary association will dispatch veterinarians for pet care during disasters, while the Japan Rescue Association will deploy search and therapy dogs to aid in rescue operations and provide emotional support to affected residents.
