The Miyazaki Tourism and Convention Association of Miyazaki Prefecture announced the agreement for a tourism partnership with the Japanese subsidiary of China Travel Service, that country’s largest travel agency. They plan to discuss ways of boosting tourism to the prefecture, particularly among Chinese golfers. The Japanese government last year relaxed the visa requirements for individuals traveling to Japan, and Miyazaki Prefecture is anxious to increase the number of Chinese tourists. Last year, only 2,000 people from that country visited Miyazaki for an overnight stay.
