MrMax Holdings said it has ended the display and sale of live animals at all MrMax discount stores, completing the change on Dec. 31, 2025. The company said the decision follows its sustainability basic policy established in December 2021 and applies to all live animals previously sold through in-store pet shops, including dogs, cats, and small animals. While live sales have ended, MrMax said some locations will continue to offer services such as pet grooming and pet hotels for existing pet owners. In addition, all 59 MrMax stores nationwide conduct a monthly pet food drive from the third Monday to the fourth Sunday of each month. Donated food is provided to animal welfare organizations and animal protection centers to support rescue and care activities. MrMax said it will continue efforts aimed at building a society in which people and pets can coexist in a sustainable and responsible way. Source: MrMax
