New Hakata Station Building Predicted to Boost Visitors to Hakata Ward


The Fukuoka University Institute of Quantitative Behavioral Infomatics for City and Space Economy (FQBIC) released the results of its survey on the number of visitors to the new JR Hakata Station building and their consumption trends. They expect visitors to Hakata Ward to rise 35%, while those to the Tenjin district to decline by 5%. Their projections also call for a 78% increase in sales at the commercial facilities at the station, and a 12% decline in Tenjin.
