A new version of the Itoshima Milk Plant, the factory that manufactures and sells Ito Monogatari products, has been built in Shinowara, Itoshima. The new facility, which starts operating from August or September, covers approximately 920 square meters and costs around ¥500 million to build. It is three times the size of the existing factory. It will be able to produce around four tons of yoghurt a day, which is twice as much as currently possible. Ito Monogatari was established in 1992 after 34 dairy farmers in the Itoshima decided to join forces. The company produces milk and ice cream, but primarily focuses on yoghurt.
