Next year is the “Year of the Sheep” so what could be better than sending out a nengajo (new years card) of yourself posing with an actual live sheep? Well, Uminonakamichi Seaside Park in Higashi-ku has this all set up for you! Friendly sheep will stand with you and your friends in front of a painted backdrop with the words “A Happy New Year”, a drawing of Mt. Fuji and an image of the hatsumode, the first sunrise of the year. This service is free of charge and available until Jan. 12 (10:30~12:00, 13:30~15:00, closed on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1).
