Nine junior colleges in Fukuoka, Saga, and Nagasaki prefecture formed the Junior College Consortium Kyushu this week to improve their educational services. The schools hope to improve their curriculums, provide mutual support for hiring, and enhance their ability to compete against four-year universities and trade schools. It is reportedly the first such grouping in the country.
