Nishi-Nippon City Bank to Reduce Number Of ATMs

The Nishi-Nippon City Bank revealed on October 19 plans to reduce the number of ATMs they operate by 300 over the next year and a half. The number of people using ATMs in convenient stores and online banking has been on the rise over the last few years. This has meant that ATMs operated by specific banks are now not so widely used by the public. Nishi-Nippon City Bank currently has 1,374 cash machines in service. This will be reduced by 100 every six months until March 2020 in order to reduce costs. The bank will get rid of ATMs that are not regularly utilized, specifically those located near convenience stores and those inside branches that have an excess number of machines installed.
