Nishi-Nippon Railroad announced it will join a land development project in Waxahachie, Texas, near the growing Dallas–Fort Worth region. The company expects rising demand for rental housing in the expanding commuter area and plans project completion between October 2026 and January 2027. The development covers about 278,000 square meters and includes water infrastructure construction before selling parcels for commercial sites, rental housing, and townhouses. The location is about 30 minutes by car from central Dallas. A local entity established with U.S. developer Alpine Start Development will manage operations. This marks Nishitetsu’s tenth U.S. real estate project and its first involvement in land development as part of its strategy to increase overseas property revenue. Source: Nishi-Nippon Railroad
