Nishitetsu has announced the launch of an electric-powered bus as of February 12 as part of Nishitetsu’s effort to reach goals of sustainability. It will run return trips between the bus stops on Island City and Nishitetsu Chihaya Station three times a day and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% compared to the conventional diesel-powered buses. The bus can also be used as a power supply during disasters and other emergencies. Source: Nikkei 02/06/2020
