Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu) has announced the relocation of its headquarters back to Tenjin, Fukuoka City, in the spring of next year, marking a return after a six-year hiatus in Hakata Ward due to building redevelopment. The move to the newly opened “Shin Fukuoka Building” in Tenjin signifies a homecoming to the district where the company’s headquarters were originally located. Approximately 700 employees across all departments will occupy around 7,000 square meters across the ninth and tenth floors, embracing a modern office layout with free-address and communal spaces to foster interaction and innovation. A new company cafeteria is also planned, further enhancing the workplace environment. This strategic move aligns with the “Tenjin Big Bang” urban redevelopment, aiming to boost employee motivation and attract talent by capitalizing on the vibrancy and appeal of Tenjin.
