Nishitetsu To Test Advanced Self-Driving Bus in Kitakyushu

Nishitetsu announced plans to test-drive a new self-driving bus on the streets of Kitakyushu City. Between Oct. 22 and Nov. 29, a mid-sized bus (*capacity: 56 persons) that can communicate directly with traffic signals would run along a route between Kitakyushu Airport and JR Kusami Station. The first-in-Japan driving system combines special sensors, GPS, and more technologies. It will carry passengers during the latter half of the trial period. Source: Nikkei / NHK / Nishitetsu
