Bandai will open a new store called Gundam Base Fukuoka in Canal City Hakata on November 30. This will be the second official Mobile Suit Gundam store to open in Japan, following the establishment of the Odaiba branch in Tokyo. From December, the company will be operating a total of 16 sites throughout the world. The store will specialize in gunpura (plastic gundam figurines) and stock a range of limited edition items. Approximately 2,000 models and figurines inspired by the popular anime will be available. The premises, which stretch across 817 sq m, will include an area where shoppers can assemble the goods they purchase and a space for professionals to exhibit their works. Kyushu’s first Gundam Cafe will also be attached to the site. The store’s opening hours will be from 10 am to 9 pm. Source: Sankei Shimbun, 9/11/2019
