Oita Bank announced it has formed working ties with the Bank of Communications based in Shanghai, China, one of that country’s largest banks. The Oita Bank hopes to utilize the Chinese bank’s services and network to provide services to its own customers who have or will establish a presence in China. The Bank of Communications also hopes to take advantage of Oita Bank’s Japanese network for the same objectives. Oita Bank has 103 branches nationwide, while the Bank of Communications has 2,643 branches in China.
