Outline of New Guidelines For Fukuoka Prefecture Following Lifting of SOE

For the period  June 21 ~ July 11

Strict anti-infection measures called ‘mann-enn boushi to juten sochi’ continue in the cities of Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, and Kurume, as approximately eighty percent of eateries in the prefecture, are located in those three areas. Restaurants are requested to operate only between 05:00~20:00 (last order: 19:00,) while those with authorized ‘kansen-boushi sengen stickers’ (infection prevention declaration stickers) can serve liquor to small-group guests of four persons or less. Eateries are requested not to provide karaoke facilities at all.

In other areas, eateries are asked to operate between 05:00~21:00 (last order: 20:00) and serve liquor only until 20:00. Large scale companies with reduced sales are eligible for daily subsidies of up to ¥200,0000, while mid-and-small sized companies would be eligible to receive ¥30,000 ~ ¥100,000/day (in Kurume, Fukuoka, and Kitakyushu) or ¥25,000 ~ ¥75,000/day (in other areas.)

Commercial attractions with floor space of 1,000 m2 or larger are requested to close at 20:00, and events are asked to end at 21:00 or earlier.

Residents remain requested to refrain from non-essential and non-urgent outings day and night. Self-restraints on nighttime outings and non-essential trips to other prefectures are especially important. Also, drinking in public spaces (streets, parks, etc.) with others has high risks of the virus infection and should be avoided.

Fukuoka Prefecture plans to request the national government to discontinue ‘mann-enn boushi to juten sochi,’ once the regional situation of the virus infection enters ‘Stage 2’ (20% or lower hospital bed occupancy AND 30 or less average daily infections.)
