Plans to open Nagasaki Airport for 24 hours a day by 2020 were presented to the prefectural assembly. The aim is to increase the number of people using the facility and tourists visiting the area. According to Nagasaki Prefecture, the airport’s opening times have been extended three times since it was established in 1975. The facility is currently open from 7 am to 10 pm. Some airports in Japan, such as Haneda, Kansai, Kitakyushu, and Naha, have started operating all day to create a more convenient service for travelers. Source: NHK News Web, 12/4/2018
