Plans to Rebuild Former Iwataya Buildings (now PARCO) Announced

J. Front Retailing, operator of Daimaru and other stores, has announced that it is considering rebuilding the main building and annex building used by Fukuoka PARCO in The building that houses the main Fukuoka PARCO building is the former Iwataya store which opened in 1936. It has been familiar as the “face of Tenjin” for many years. According to Fukuoka City, the preferential terms under the Tenjin Big Bang project will expire in 2026.
