Project Linking Agriculture and Restaurants to Start

The Renaissance Project of Fukuoka City will start a project that links agriculture with restaurants in Bofu, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The company plans to actively hire the post-retirement elderly to work on the farm to create agricultural products using small amounts of agrichemicals for use in local restaurants. It will be operated by the company’s Renaissance Ecofarm in Bofu, the hometown of the company’s president. The first step will be a buffet-style restaurant to be opened in August.
