Rainy Season in Kyushu Ends

On Jul. 18 (Mon.), Japan Meteorological Agency announced the end of the rainy season as of Monday, July 18 for the Kyushu area. The end arrived one day earlier than average for northern Kyushu, and four days earlier for southern Kyushu. Now that rainy season is over, temperatures will tend to rise in the afternoon, so take precautions to avoid heat stroke. Although the rainy season is over, there is always a brief transition period; West Japan and the Tokai area may experience thunderstorms in the following week due to moist air flow, but temperatures will remain warm due to high atmospheric pressure.
