Real Estate Company Exits Inbound Condominium Accommodation Market

Fukuoka-based real estate company, Business One Holdings Co., Ltd. announced an intention to cease its minpaku accommodation business, citing the impact of the new coronavirus spread. Sales of its minpaku apartments (approximately 220 units at five condominiums) dropped sharply after the pandemic blocked international tourism into Japan, marking a 98.8% decrease between Apr. ~ Sep. 2020 compared to the same period in 2019. Business One plans renovations to convert those rooms back into residential apartments. Source: Zaikai Kyushu
