Kyushu-produced strawberries are selling well overseas. Last month, the Moji Customs office reported the record-largest fruit export for 2021. Approximately 340 tons (+20.6% from the previous year) were exported from Fukuoka Airport and some other places, representing ¥920 million (+32.3%.) in revenue. A large percentage were shipped to Hong Kong (59.6%,) while Thailand (18.1%) and Singapore (10.6%) also showed significant growths in the import of Kyushu-sourced strawberries. Source: Moji Customs
